The Star Stradbroke Season 2025

Brisbane Racing Club is proud to bring you The Star Stradbroke Season, Brisbane’s premier racing carnival for 2025. It draws thousands of visitors each year from around Queensland, interstate and abroad to witness the first-class action on the track and experience the fine food, hospitality, fashion, glamour and entertainment that are integral to this memory-making thoroughbred racing event. 

The best trainers and jockeys from around Australia and New Zealand will compete for a prize pool of more than $20 million, highlighted by 37 black type races, including seven at Group 1 Level. 

The Star Stradbroke Season runs over six racedays, from the 3rd of May through to the 14th of June.

    This is the all-important drawing of the barriers for horses competing in Queensland's greatest race, The Star Stradbroke Handicap. Connections of the starting line-up will be hoping they draw a good gate to give them the winning edge in this iconic sprint, which now carries prize money of $3 million. Invitation only.

    Fashions on the Field returns this The Star Stradbroke Season with three days of competition and tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes to be won.

    Taking to the stage across three days – Ladbrokes Derby Day, Seven Oaks Day and The Star Stradbroke Day, there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place each day, with a fresh panel of industry judges eager to encourage entrants to put their most fashionable foot forward with unique, aspirational looks that celebrate The Star Stradbroke Season in style.

    The Star Stradbroke Season, Fashions on the Field celebrates self-expression and creativity through fashion. This fun, inclusive spectacle of creativity is the perfect way to celebrate the energy of the racing season.

    Embrace bold black and white on Ladbrokes Derby Day, with texture and detail coming to play through your choice of fabric, silhouette and accessories. A chic and elegant monochromatic look with creative use of textures and patterns will help make your mark on stage.

    SEVEN OAKS DAY - 7 JUNE 2025 | EAGLE FARM

    Soft colours, florals, and sophisticated glamour lead the way on Seven Oaks Day. The dress code provides the opportunity for colourful combinations and experimentation with pattern and playful flair. Lean into traditional pastel tones, lace, feathers, and anything trending towards the opulent and glamorous.

    The Star Stradbroke Season's pinnacle fashion competition day calls for black and white with a touch of red. Play with the possibilities within the traditional theme as you accent your monochromic look with a signature accessory or outfit detail in hues of striking red.
